Requirements
Interaxial runs on:
- iPhone & iPad — iOS / iPadOS 15 or later.
- Mac (Apple silicon) — macOS 14 or later, as the “Designed for iPad” app.
Full immersive capture and BRAW features need iOS/iPadOS 17 or later. You also need a Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive camera reachable over the same Wi-Fi/LAN as your device.
Companion apps in the family (separate downloads): the Immersive Viewer for Apple Vision Pro (visionOS 26+), a native Mac app (macOS 14+), an Apple TV monitor (tvOS 17+), and an Apple Watch companion (watchOS 26+).
Getting started
- Put your device and the camera on the same network.
- Open Interaxial and enter the camera’s IP address (and port if needed).
- Tap Connect. The first time, allow Local Network access when prompted — Interaxial needs it to reach the camera.
Try it with no camera (demo mode)
Want to explore the app before you’re on set? Connect to any IP address on port 3001 (for example 127.0.0.1:3001) — or use the connection menu’s “Demo Camera (offline test).” This loads a realistic built-in URSA Cine Immersive with live timecode, horizon, meters, and working controls. No network or hardware required.
Common questions
- Interaxial can’t find or connect to my camera.
- Confirm both devices are on the same network, that you allowed Local Network access (Settings → Interaxial → Local Network), and that the IP address and port are correct. Firewalls and “client isolation” on guest Wi-Fi can block the connection.
- The live monitor / viewfinder looks delayed.
- The viewfinder is a near-live preview built from the camera’s frames over the network; a short delay is expected and depends on your network.
- Where do my reports and stills go?
- Camera reports, CSV exports, and captured stills are saved where you choose — on your device, in the Files app, or your own iCloud/cloud storage. Interaxial keeps nothing on our servers (we don’t run any).
- Does Interaxial collect my data?
- No. There are no accounts and no analytics. See our Privacy Policy.
